I've been playing ffxiv for just about 2 months now, and started out with some friends. Sadly they have moved on to other games, and that leaves me the only active person in my former FC.

Unfortunately we're based in Shirogane so you can't just come visit us to put in an application (SE really needs a workaround for that...) but if you see any of our members in game, you can get to the company application by viewing the company profile from their character screen (that's if we don't find you first!)

It's the housing area that was added with the Stormblood expansion (4.0), but don't worry, that won't stop you using it even if you haven't unlocked it in the story yet (you just can't go there to apply in person unfortunately)

Sorry that we keep missing each other. I appreciate you don't have defined times you'll be playing, but any idea when you might be on next so I can ask people to look out for you around that time? Once you're in the FC it won't really matter when you want to play, it's just getting that initial invite. I can't personally play in the day (working) but I'll definitely be on from 8pm this evening and tomorrow evening (UK time). I don't know if that's any good to you.

I really need to check the forums! I was on for a good couple of hours yesterday as well, what a pain! This weekend is a bit chocca. Tough mudder and BBQ on Saturday. Sunday is free but the Fiancée is about so may be able to persuade her to jump on for a bit
