Loot going to the mail

So I went through Omega 1 Savage for first time and after many attempts i finally cleared but I didn't get the Datalog due to not having inventory space. So its probably my fault in the first place for not checking but not being able to go through it again to actually get the datalog is kinda frustrating. I do a lot of crafting and gathering so my inventory always get full so I'm sorry for not always checking. So I want to suggest that the loot you earn should at least go into the mail if your inventory is already full.

I requested this once when a bartz card dropped to the floor, the community called me an idiot and said that this was "wasting resources". I personally think this is an amazing idea and is my no. 1 QoL change to see in the future.

If I remember well, the GM team can recovery the item for you, however you can use item recovery ONE TIME IN YOUR ACCOUNT.

Appreciate the help but I don't think using that ONE time recovery is worth it for a datalog.

I believe this is only for items dropped or an incorrect purchase from a vendor, if your inventory is full then you never owned the item, and thus I doubt the GM can help

I've never ran into the issue myself (and my inventory is generally pretty full even without being an active crafter/gatherer), but no matter what, it's a good QoL feature to have.

I thought it was a standard feature to have, I guess wow spoils me in functionality.

If you (and similar players) have trouble clearing inventory space, what makes you think you'll have such ample room in your mailbox?

Where is the next proposal after you've missed out on items because you hadn't cleared your mail in a while?

FFXI is too strict when it comes too being full (You can only receive 20 items or something and if you know how much different materials high end gear takes, like the 320 stuff, it is an issue.) 5 items per trade/mail is also BS with how many different materials you need for something. Also most games have a queue, even if you do not see it, it is not lost, once you clear out things it appears. FFXI and WoW both do the queue thing for mail items/letters.

I always put my crafting mats with my retainers, so I am always crafting near one of the bells. Use what I need than put them back and go about my adventures. Not really something that needs to happen and make us even more lazy right?

I have 2 retainers completely full of crafting/gathering mats, unique glamour, tokens, materia, and all the other stuff that the game shoves onto us. I literally cannot deposit more mats, but I'm just lazy right?

no, you're just a bad planner.

if you don't want to pay real money for extra retainers or make alts to store your crap that you don't have to use all the time, you have to be more judicious with what mats and materia you keep and buy the rest on the Market Board when you need actually need it.

it's not news how much space you have on your retainers and character.

"I don't have enough inventory space!" cry the hoarders who insist on keeping that single animal skin/bronze ingot, despite having every crafter above 60.
