the population of lv70 players are dropping with no way to make other people to transfer to omega

I cant see them making any decision on that till after 4.1 as more people will return then.

I think what you're more likely to see is people just not playing due to boredom at this point; SE has once again failed to make enough content to keep 70s interested for long. 4.1 will see a large influx before it dies again.

It's the same thing every patch and expansion. People play a lot at first and some people slowly play less and less until the next patch is released.

Would help if the incentives for transferring to non-preferred servers didn't suck. It's one reason Balmung's population will never noticeably decline. What reason is there to leave?

To be fair, the current incentives aren't terrible. There's also going to be more cross server features implemented in the future so that should increase the appeal of less populated servers.

Usually, but they made a special case with Omega due to how many people transferred. They didn't want to make Omega congested (because it'd rip apart the new player bonus on the server), so they sealed off transfers instead.

Oh I see.
With the bonus now gone, people are dropping like flies. Not that I am complaining; I actually had a choice of two different houses to purchase yesterday.

I think it's a bit silly how it all worked. Loads of people flocked to the server for their free 1mill and game time (and transfered a character so they could actually take the gil). Grabbed all the houses, didn't bother decorating them or anything, and now a bunch of them are trying to flip them before they go back to their previous server.

Hopefully now it is no longer a special status server or anything, all the usual rules will apply and transfers will be opened up both ways.
