1. Get Allagan tomestones of Creation for your weekly total
2. Wait until Reset for the tomestones of Creation
3. When the reset time comes, weekly total disappears, and none of that total is added to your currency

I think you're confused about how the currency is displayed. You have 2 totals the first is x/2000 which tells you how much currency you actually own. The second is x/450 which tells you how many tomes you've acquired towards the weekly cap. The tomes you acquire toward the (x/450) is added to your total (x/2000) at the same time, it doesn't add it at the weekly reset. So in other words, the reason the number didn't increase at the weekly reset is because you already obtained them.

The next time you do a dungeon or something, look at your weekly number and look at your total number, you'll see that they both increased by the exact same amount.
