Our social linkshell isn't focused on doing old content old skool style but it isn't opposed to doing stuff old skool style. You're welcome to try it out if you'd like and see if anyone would be interested in doing that kind of stuff. We have done some things recently like synced raids and diadem. All you need to do is ask if anyone's interested in taking part.

I could not describe my situation better than you did, it's exactly the same. I've started the game in July with a friend, and even though we're not so casual, still playin a lot, we'd like to do all the content, and get tired of people sayin "go do that unsynch it's 4 year old stuff". Right, but i wasnt here 4 years ago, i want all the fun not just the last one released.
It was doable for lv 50 extremes with roulette, even with lots of wiping, but getting 60 extreme content is like impossible, as well as bahamut, and i still havent try alexander (we're on the HW main story actually).
So same as you did, we made a 2 ppl FC to stop random invite, but still frustrated to not be able to do everything.
If you have a LS for people interested in that, or if you wanna create one, contact me, you'll have 2 players wanting to try anything synched

Hey all, I’ve been kind of side-tracked recently by playing on my super cute male Lalafell alt so I’ve forgotten to check this thread recently! I have actually been thinking of creating a Link Shell for those that want to do old school content, I don’t think there is another LS out there that specifically for old content. So I was thinking of creating one, I have no idea on names though, the best I could come up with was The Old Skool LS. I was also thinking of creating a discord as well where people could arrange a time to meet up and do stuff together. What do people think of this idea?

I forgot to mention, my son has recently come back to FFXIV and he is also very keen on doing content synced.
