Are there like minded players out there like us?

Hey all, I'm just putting the feelers out to see if anyone is interested in this. Basically, my hubby and I are a little disillusioned with some of the FCs we have joined so we decided to create our own FC. To begin with it was just going to be a stop gap and a place to be where we didn't have to worry about blind FC invites. However, we've been talking and we both feel we can't be the only people out there that want certain things in an FC.

So what are we looking for? Both me and my hubby are very much casual players - there's a lot of content that we have not experienced so far and to others this may be old and much abused content, to us, it's brand new. We're not looking to be rushed through the content by going through it unsynced but we're looking for experiencing the content as it was meant to be played back in the day when it was fresh and new. We're not opposed to doing content unsynced at all. After all, when mount farming, it's easier to go in unsynced so that more runs can be completed and more people have a chance at getting a mount for example. However stuff like the Binding Coil would be nice to experience that synced. To us, we feel that there is no fun in just doing everything old unsynced because it's quick and easier! Of course, we could just use duty finder/party finder but... wouldn't it be great if we could do this with other like minded gamers on a regular basis? Yet when we bought this up with the last FC we were in (a suggestion for a weekly run for those that hadn't finished Stormblood, so they didn't feel like they were being left out) we get laughed at? Surely we are not the only two players on the entire server that wants this?

So here we are, wondering if there are other people looking for the same? We have both decided that we're not going to look for another FC but stay in our own, and if there are others with the same ideals as us then let us know.

Also to note, we are not just looking to experience old content, we do want to do current content as well, when we get there, but I will not lie, we have not completed Stormblood yet and when we get there we intend to do that also, but in our own time. We just don't want to ignore the old content - as after all, there are plenty of new players out there that haven't experienced and for them, it's brand new!

There's certainly players like you around. I've helped a few run level-synced content before simply because that's what they wanna do.
Plus, nothing like a good old Titan Ex as it was meant to be.

Hey Kelani,

I understand where you are coming from and I think that this is a great idea which is the exact the idea we had when we made ours a short while ago.

I recently came back to the game so there is a lot of content which I wish to complete as I'm very much a casual player, I have done the whole hardcore raiding scene and it's not for me anymore: ). I think that people nowadays just want to get things done quick as possible and get to end game content and not care about how they do it. I for one want to experience the whole package but do so with friends, as random people would leave after one wipe and that's not fun for anyone.

If you like we have a discord and a Linkshell set up so if you would like we can invite you to that and at least then we can participate in the same activities be it old dungeons or current ones etc.

I understand your situation I was stuck in the same rot of pointless FC's. The problem is that most FC's start with that intention and later on begins to dwindle do to RL and such so running FC kind of a big commitment and most want to get things done. While there are many players with the same mind set getting their trust will be a challenge, not to mention avoiding certain trolls. I decided to be a one man FC for the benefits of the FC options, if anything I joined some endgame LS's and been sooo much easier on me than joining one. If you guys make a web page /dsicord / does give a good impression as well, just a tip. Good luck on your recruiting.

There are you just have to find them I found the perfect small FC on my world, I'm sure you will be able to find one on yours good luck!

I too am a new player to this game and playing casually. I used to be a more Hardcore player in my world of warcraft days, but now, I just want to have fun with decent folks. I am also struggling with finding a FC, mostly because I do not know what will await me. I have seen a lot of people disbanding their groups because of drama mostly, and now I have developed a bit of skepticism when it comes to choosing a FC.

I been plyin about a year , and I am the same way I actually cant stand unsync content but like you I still use it. But I havent done coil because id have to do unsync, but Im def with you on the old sync content.

It's good to know that me and my hubby are not the only ones that want to experience old content synced and I hope that we'll meet more people on the louisoux server that has the same playstyle!!!

As I said before, my hubby and I are not keen to join another FC at present and are happy to stay in our own. Zero drama and no pressure which is perfect for us at the moment :P
