I mean really its pretty damned clear that if SE wanted us to be able to alt+tab it would have been already available, and not another promised feature in the "broken record" future!

It took SE what 6-7 years before they added a very piss-poor windowed mode to XI, that as far I know most don't even use cause Windower has always been far better. Its seriously ridiculous for SE to keep treating what few potential paying customers they have remaining, with so must angst. Yeah I get that XI had a horrible problem with botters and the economy was in bad shape for a few years, and that supposedly the non alt+tabbing was a means to prevent that, but it never worked there. For fracks sake though, XIV is barely worth playing, and gil is very easy to acquire, so I doubt there are tons of gil farmers and if there are...it must really suck to be them.

SE, stop treating us so poorly and give us these simple yet necessary features that every other damned MMO has, you'll never stop the botters and hackers, but you are severely pissing off your loyal/legit players with this crap!
Borderless Window != Full Screen
Obviously you are over looking a already many times explained reason for alt-tab if you run crossfire you ONLY get the second card to assist if its in a real full screen not this pseudo windowless junk.

^end direct reply to Khalus stuff below is general ranting as usual about this.

I'm sorry I refuse and will always refuse to accept this as standard, its a bug. It gives you a generic direct x error, therfore its a bug. If it was by intent they would put a custom error box that said something along the lines of it "not being allowed". They are simply not handling correctly the direct x situation of lost focus correctly, http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...(v=vs.85).aspx
Its part of something that you need to handle with Direct X 9 and below. Direct X 10 and 11 will do it for you.

As for stopping bots or other such excuse, that's still a useless argument alt-tab out of full screen gives you nothing more then what you couldn't already do.

I still blame incompetence at this point.
