I switched to ninja the moment it became available.

I liked it a lot in 2.x

It was kinda okay in Heavensward. But I nonetheless kept it as my main. Untill today.

So what went wrong? Did the job rework made it worse? Nah it is better than ever,
Were the job quests bad? Nah, I enjoyed every minute of it. The gear? Nope i finally looked like a ninja again.

So?

Well the problem is, Red Mage is too goddamn awesome. It is very fun to play, the gear is beautiful and the job story is the best. Especially with all the nods and callbacks. What's that X'rhun? You want me to go to the Gold Saucer? Finally it has a place in the story. By the way thanks for the extra background on Alisaie and Zenos. Hi Jessie. Good to see you. What's that? The Great Library? Been there twice. The Thaumaturge Guild? We go way back. Mhach? Been there. And lots of nice new lore.

The fight against Lambard was possibly the best solo fight in the game. And I loved the supporting cast. Both X'rhun and Arya. Nice GoT reference by the way. And Matrix.

If I really have to say something bad I'm going to mention that we never went to Kugane. That city is too good to not got there for at least a short visit. Maybe in the 5.0 job quests. I wonder how that will tie into the current story. Also very happy with the Nightkin as they are super close to vampires.

Mudras lag like crazy and ten chi jin is even worse...

I can't even use fuma shurilan without clipping gcds.

I've been on the same server ever since 1.0 originally saronia. Then merged to sargatanas. And I've never had issues before with lag or latency.

So there's a real reason why stormblood killed ninja. It's just unplayable at any decent level.

You're entitled to your opinion about RDM but I personally find the job to be very dull.
Apart from latency issues on occasion, I find NIN to be more entertaining at least as there's just more to do. Also, Froppy is the best pet in the game XD.

Not according to some of my recent dungeon runs. Some of those RDMs I saw were full time melee.

Why not play both? Have Red Mage as your main and Ninja as your secondary.
