    Stages are worthless

I made a stage, planning to place it in the basement as part of a speakeasy type bar. After setting down the stage and grabbing an instrument, I ran into this:

Could there be a change to allow instruments to actually, you know, sit on the stage like the item's own flavor text indicates? D: I feel like this was a complete oversight.

Agreed. Given its description and intended purpose, you would think you can just place a bunch of things on it...

I went out and gathered mats, trying to use this for the band in my basement bar.

Well, it is now a stand-up comedy bar with two lights...

It's more of the fact the instruments need a tabletop attribute more than the stage. There's quite a few items that need to have a tabletop attribute, like NPCs, since Lalafell NPCs can't be placed on the stepstools.

If this is actually the case, stages will have to be assigned a "floor" attribute besides just a tabletop attribute. But I imagine it could be easily implemented. Just add a check to prevent infinite stacking and more air-snapping exploitation. A single stage per house limit like the bathtubs would work.

A single stage? NOOOOOO. NOOOPE. NOOO. In large houses one little stage just isn't enough!

Then another check to prevent exploitative air-stacking of stages will have to be designed. If that is fixed than stages needn't be limited 1 per house, like bathtubs do. My guess for bathtub limit is because of the water rendering being taxing if too many. But since stages don't have taxing graphical effects I suppose there is no real reason to limit them, then.

Stacking stages isn't a bad thing... let people stack whatever they want in their house... it literally has no effect on anyone other than.the homeowners

I think they just don't want people glitching out of bounds so I can understand some checks but otherwise I think it's fine to stack them.

Smaller stages, higher stages, narrower stages, some variation in the stages would be nice so we could even put up something akin to "props" for stage plays. And these smaller stages ideally would be stackable, to a certain extent.

Additional general furniture placement items, not furniture in themselves but purposefully designed to allow spatial freedom in furniture placement, think "Scaffoldings", "Ceiling Hooks", "Half-Wall-Height Splinter Beams", etc. Which can provide options to allow for vertically dynamic housing furniture placement, without having to resort to exploitative air-snapping, or unpolished and immersion-breaking multi-stacking.

So I imagine that this can be a way to grant players their wishes to further customize their house, and to create more interesting layouts, without breaking immersion.
