The precedent has already been set.

This isn't a suddenly new thing that has popped up. This has been happening ever since ranked started and they've done nothing. And they will continue to do nothing. They've shown zero good will towards the community in terms of trying to stop it from happening. I envy some of you who hold out hope they will fix it, but I haven't been holding my breath since season 2, it really isn't worth the headache.

Nothing done about win trading, no mmr decay so people can just sit where they are for months. They clearly have no intention to fix anything with the ladder.
