It's happening on Chaos too, not to the same extent as it is on Aether, even saw one of my former friends doing it in this season, really makes me sad, despite all the reports we have made about them, nothing has happened. (to everyone's big surprise) Feast is never going to be E-sport worthy, but it can at least remain as a somewhat entertaining way to kill time in the game, if SE at least tried to make it work and not just say "it's going to be a lot of work . . ." that's not the right attitude to have when you're the lead designer of the world's 2nd most played MMORPG, come on.
Yoshi P didn't say that they are not working on it, just that it may take longer than the players expect to crack down on this sort of issue that is fair and just. They have to make sure that if players are going to be punished, that the correct players are punished. It's similar to how rampant botting was back in 2.0, crashing the Market Board, stealing mobs from new players to quest and so forth.

On Chaos we had both healers playing the match but the fixed loser of the match would let people die gradually, not heal themselves when attacked and then would stand in base for way longer than they should after respawning. Hell, I was in a match with the intended losing healer and at 20 seconds left we kill their tank, putting us ahead and then our healer runs into their base and does not heal themselves and makes us all die. SE does not accept anything but chat logs for evidence so how in the world are they going to get punished? I have recorded entire matches with these two players myself and it does not take much of a mastermind to figure out what is going on but of course, they will not accept video proof.
Players get warned/banned for flaming these two players but if SE did their job, maybe the community would not be so frustrated and angry because deep down the community knows that SE will not punish them in any way.
I've played over a collective of 5000 games and was very patient with your company in delivering what you said was going to be an "e-sports" game mode. It definitely had the potential in 3.x series, but now your entire PvP playerbase knows you're unable to fulfill this. You've been unable to deal with wintraders, speedhackers and people throwing matches purposely for over a year. Your PvP community is losing faith every single day and many people are just settling for other games at this point.
This needs addressing, although you most likely won't, judging from your inability to moderate Feast correctly for the past year no matter how blatant some wintraders have been. In fact, you've actively taken away from players who have stuck with Feast since Season 1 by creating a brand new system anyone can be good at by spamming maybe 3 buttons. It's clear now, to everyone, this is just another MMO time-sink to appeal to as many casual players as possible, with nothing e-sports about it. At least respect the remaining players time and clean up with some GM intervention.
I mean infamous win traders haven't been punished for 4 seasons now even when they're in the top 10. The only reason there's a hullabaloo about it now is that a new one is so obvious and unabashed about it that it's equally obvious that SE doesn't care right now.Yoshi P didn't say that they are not working on it, just that it may take longer than the players expect to crack down on this sort of issue that is fair and just. Anybody caught engaging in win trading should not only receive a lengthy temporary ban but also have any exclusive items associated with ranked PvP removed from their account. Both for current and previous seasons. That, to me, feels like the most fair and just punishment. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing such players barred from competitive PvP altogether.
100% agree that action needs to be escalated. Their history with punishing known cheaters is abysmal as well.
For those who don't know, around February 2017 in season 4 there was a summoner using a position manipulator to teleport on top of walls in the feast, game after game. This went on for most of the season without punishment - here's an image (with names removed) of the summoner that was reported a bunch of times.
You can find the clip of said summoner on a certain moist streamer's clips (check the most viewed all time). Commenting on the summoner publicly in reddit, I had this exchange a few weeks later.
If the punishment for blatant hacking of the game with video proof is a mere 24 hour suspension with rewards retained, I think we have a huge issue with moderation of cheating and improper conduct in the feast. The integrity of the game mode is paramount if we are shooting for e-sports level PVP in the long run.
The case I posted here is the most blatant and obvious hacking of the game I've seen with multiple sources of video proof from livestreams (Can you even edit twitch clips?). There is a mountain of evidence, and he got the lightest punishment imaginable. People get worse punishments for chat violations in the feast.
Let me say that again in its own paragraph to emphasize:
People get punished more harshly for saying curses in chat than position hacking in a competitive game mode with a mountain of evidence.
