I can confirm that queues can be pretty awful for 4 vs 4. An unfortunate consequence of a system that not alone allows for win trading to go unpunished but also encourages players to earn a high ranking early on and then sit on it largely unchallenged for the rest of the season as fewer and fewer players queue up.
A moment of silence for the 3 pvpers who have been in the pvp community since season one who got permabanned for saying something harsh during a feast game.
SE not banning the smn hacker and wiping their rating actually made me visibly upset. Makes me wonder if reporting accountsharing/boosting/cheating scum would be worth it. they cheat the system and only get a slap on the wrist, all the while keeping their rewards.
Absolutely disgusting. Just shows how little they care about the integrity of ranked pvp.
Supporting this motion. If only we were allowed to post usernames and proof of wintrading, theres so much evidence in the pvp discord to put that guy behind bars literally. Its not even funny that I see more evidence pop up everyday.
I can understand SE not wanting evidence posted publicly, but I wish they'd take it into account videos for their investigations.
In fact (and I've mentioned this a lot on Discord) I think the GMs lack the proper tools to even investigate cheating. My assumption is that they can only look at chat logs, or be inside an instance if they choose to be. So, if there's a SMN with multiple reports of positioning hacking, they have NO WAY OF TELLING unless they're in the same match, chances are they join one of their matches, catch the person in the act, and then hand out their "punishment".
Wintrading would be impossible for them to check for, since no one will admit to it ingame. GMs aren't going to be able to check IPs, I doubt they can check match histories, and I doubt they'll join multiple instances of a wintrader's matches just to see if they're actually wintrading.
There's also no anti-cheat measure, for better or worse, so people can still use ACT triggers or subtley use certain cheating apps to do things you regularly wouldn't be able to do (like outrunning people even when they're sprinting, or lowering your GCD by a small amount).
So SE is either extremely unequipped to handle these things, or they just aren't looking for the right things.

To expand on the mention of videos, I too understand why they can't use video as evidence, since sure, you can edit video, names, what not.
However, SE themselves considers live streams like youtube and twitch to be "legitimate", otherwise they wouldn't be using those as sources of information. If we had GMs simply watching streams once in a while, they can see what we are seeing. People in the pvp community stream nearly every single day, with the "evidence" of such activities occurring basically every day. Kind of like, since they use live streaming and consider it valid, by extension using "live streams" as evidence should, therefore, be valid.

As stated earlier, it would actually be incredibly difficult to edit a video in a way to create a seamless false report. And I agree, if live streams are legitimate to Square, they should make an effort to monitor them. After all, these streams are technically also advertising their own game.To expand on the mention of videos, I too understand why they can't use video as evidence, since sure, you can edit video, names, what not.

That people are punished more harshly for foul language than cheating in competitive content and screwing over numerous players in the process says it all, really. It creates a chain reaction where players just stop bothering, regardless of their enthusiasm for PvP. I'm definitely in that boat these days.
