EX-Balmung Players of the Mass Stormblood Exodus - Where are they now?!

So I thought I would start up a thread to see where all the people who used to be on Balmung before the mass exodus of transfers from our server that happen during the Early Access and Launch of Stormblood are located now. I was gonna do it for Gilgamesh too, but I figured someone else from there server would make another thread for that.

Anyways... What I would like to know is where people have gone and how are they fairing on the new server. While many have hope that the gates of Balmung will re-open as per the conditions that the Community Team have said, I for one doubt that will ever happen and that the gates will never re-open again.

Most of the ones I know of went to either Omega or Mateus, with many making alts on those servers if they didn't actually move wholesale.

Nah, I'm kidding, but seriously though... I've heard others move to Coeurl too. That's the reason why I decide to make the thread now since it's the day after the end of The Rising and it was a reflection to what the Wandering Minstrel had said...

Short (or Long) Answer Response: I'm doing great here. Found a great FC, doing so much content with new friends, maybe even more than I did on Balmung, and I've been there since 2.1. I left Balmung just before SB, as I wanted to establish myself there prior, so I left like 2 weeks before. Immediately was welcomed with open arms and even tho I do miss some of the people I used to play with, I'm really happy here. Just shows that even on smaller servers, you can still find a good community and that you don't have to be on a big one to be able to do stuff. Heck I even roleplay here, and there's a roleplaying community here, so not everyone is on Balmung.

After Coeurl got so many immigrants it lost preferred status, and as a result people started jumping ship and we eventually went back to our lower population we had before we went preferred. I honestly cannot say if any of the Balmung immigrants remain.

They do I have like 8 or 9 people from balmumg that joined my fc

Short (or Long) Answer Response: I actually created a new character here rather than transferring. My old character I just abandoned. I can't say I'm having too good of a time. I'm having trouble meeting people and finding a good FC, although that's partially my fault as I'm very picky about FCs.

Reasoning for leaving: Balmung was too packed for it's own good. Getting disconnected only to sit in a queue of several thousand people each night when I only get a few hours to play to begin with was, as far as I was concerned, unacceptable. So when the free transfers opened with no gil limit, I jumped at the opportunity to move to Mateus where I heard a smaller RP community was starting to form.. even though I haven't indulged in it yet. I'm doing well here though, maxed all my DoH/DoLs and became a 2* omnicrafter in under a month. Made back the gil I spent and then some, and by pure chance bumped into an old acquaintance from Balmung here and joined her FC. Life is good.
