They should make Fates more worthwhile

As it is now Fates are that thing you do if you're a dps level 61 or above while waiting for a queue, after you've done your daily hunts since even those give more exp (and not counting yokai watch) No one does them, because they're not worth doing.

One of my favorite memories from 2.0 launch was a massive coordinated fate zerg in coerthas. It was fun because people would actually have time to communicate and talk on the way to the next one, and it made the world feel alive.

As it is now the best way to level is potd spam from 15-60 if you're a dps. Healers/tanks can choose potd or dungeons. 60-70 it's one choice for everyone again.


I'd like them to boost exp from fates so it's *slightly* better than potd, and if in a coordinated party(s) significantly better. Then players would have a choice of what they wanted to do to level, there'd always be people who still did palace because they prefer it and it shouldn't negatively impact queue times since its only 4 claseless people

I think reducing the HP on FATE enemies (for HW/SB fates) so that they aren't obnoxious HP sponges would help make the experience gain feel a bit more appropriate for the effort. Wouldn't mind the exp being boosted though.

It's always kind of bothered me that the community pushed so hard for this change back in ARR and was then fine with potd which is basically the same as the old FATEs except in the same boring hallways and without the social interaction of the old FATE groups.

With the yokai event, I have been grinding FATEs in ARR zones like many others.

The only issue is that I am most often restricted to some basic abilities so it becomes a button mash even though I would love the opportunity to experience the rotation at my current level (55 range). It is a rare treat when I hit some FATES that only sync me to down to 52 or so.

POTD is not a good option because things die too quickly even if you just mash buttons randomly.

And I am personally not too keen on queuing for 30 min just to get to a specific dungeon at my level.
