If I increased a stat by 20~30, should I not see a difference in damage? Going from memory I think I have 238~ish DEX on my arc, so 20~30 dex is 10% more or less increase.

Anyway... I'm not trying to argue but again (to me at least) stats make very little difference in overall performance.
Is that 238 dex with or without gear?

Sorry but I find this hilarious, because it's so ridiculous I just can not understand why it happens and yet people and more often women always do this: They talk to some person, who turns out to be jerk and they know that the person is a jerk and still... they blame themselves. They have to be loved by everyone or life is not worth living.

Part of becoming a Good Player is to socialize and to learn how to identify other Good and Bad Players yourself. This is not just a gear check, but an attitude check as well. And make a mental note when you actually do meet a Good Player. Better yet: add them to your friend list! And if you start noticing there are a lot of players on your friendlist, who have the same linkshell then maybe you should apply to that linkshell too. Do not focus on the bad, focus on the Good.

To be honest, if he's that much of an arrogant jerk, just egg him on. It's always funny.

If he says you're crap just tell him you're actually awesome, but you dislike him personally so you are deliberately losing to waste his time and make sure he doesn't get those sweet Moogle Himantes.

Then ask him if someone took his sweetroll.

I know what a good player is: Someone walking out of the Moogle fight only taking 2K damage total. 2K of that being from Memento. (I'm talking about you Jake Stewart...!!! lol)

Someone who watches you die, lets you lie there, and doesn't even bother to offer you a raise. When you get upset about it, they then try to justify why they had every right to be a complete douche to you, all the while dropping F-bombs, calling you uncultured, and basically showing you how much of a hypocrite they are with thier juvenile behavior. All this after you tell them it's considered common courtesy to offer a raise to someone regardless of whether or not they ask.

In summary, a bad player is someone who needs to have an excuse to help someone else.

If you ever need any help on Besaid, send me a /tell. I'm pretty sure I know who you are referring to in the OP, and I wouldn't let it get to you. Some people are abrasive, and he is just one of them.

To be honest, I'm not sure why he's acting elitest either. I can't recall him being that way in the past so it must be a new approach to gaming O_~

I've met a few bad apples on Besaid. From my experiences they're usually the ones lying on the floor most of the time or begging to be in parties with the players that enjoy meeting new friends and taking it easy.

Anyway, catch me in game if you ever need any help.

Yes, we're kind of strange that way.

Of course I can't speak for everyone, but for many women social bonds and the feelings of others are very important.

Words can do much more damage than Ifrit's Hellfire.

    To Mamba (OP),

It takes time to get past incidents like that -- I know.
But I hope that you have a good group of friends around you that will help to keep you going.

And of course the Blacklist is very useful as well. ^^
