What is a 'bad player'?

Everyone starts out new to things. Some pick them up faster than others. Some already have better gear than others. Does better gear help? yea it does. But does handling your class, learning the fights and how to respond on a moments notice matter too? sure does.

Gear will always help, but if you can adapt and become better over time, it matters less, to the point I would bring you to anything if I know you are trying and see improvement. If you fail to adapt, especially to things that dont change (ifrit fight) and die, cause others to die while raising you, waste mp/time on you, then that is what I would call a bad player.

You just MPK'd people. You didn't actually count as a person to anything. Back then, you didn't just use taunt and you know it. You spam job abilities to tank. Excuse me while you used 10+ job abilities before you would WS, stand in front of mages so that before we could move, we would either get petrified or instantly breath attacked. You are the reason people stopped wanting to go. You are also the reason why mages would constantly move away from you.

Like I said before, I'm a DD and that's what I do. Stacking buffs on a WS is part-and-parcel to the job. I can't be blamed for a bad tank and broken battle mechanics. If I ever threw out a Taunt it was because of 1 of 2 scenarios: The tank lost hate or couldn't get it off of me anyhow. Yet again, what I would be expected to do.

Anyway, this is all coming from a hugely biased source and is all hearsay, including your accusations regarding my reputation. That which I'm sure I don't care about one way or the other.

Just ignore comments like that. But on subject, I'm sorry to say you'll find those type of players often. Currently I only got 3 jobs at 50 myself (1 on a different character.) and I've been playing since the first day the collector's edition arrived. Personally I just see it as nothing to get upset over when you meet elitist a-holes like that. You probably wouldn't want to play with that person anyway with that type of attitude towards stuff. I'm pretty sure I've seen you before on Besaid, if you need an archer (Or conjurer soon when I get that to 50!) for Ifrit or Primal battles give me a ring! I've never beaten Ifrit yet myself but I've done the battles enough time to almost have it down pretty well. Next on my list is giving that Moogle a try...

Can you answer me one thing?: How do you get internet service from Neptune, or whatever planet you live on? Because there, you obviously make it a point to spam any old unbuffed WS for your shitty tank.

That's right, I stacked WS buffs and used Featherfoot in order to land a fully-buffed Simian Thrash. Did the same on Buffalo runs. Attempting to defend yourself against in incoming attack is common sense in any other case (IE Buffalo and Uraeus both have full AoE physical attacks)! Apparently this escapes your flawed perception. Again, surely not the tanks' fault he can't hold hate off a lolPGL.

I would do something similar as well, if I was about to unleash a big WS, and I knew I might take hate, I would up my DEF as well.

Gear hardly matters at all. Skill > Gear in all cases.

I can top damage parse with nothing more than bow and paragon helm in moogle fight.
