And in regards to moogle/ifrit those are two different battles, thm actually is good in ifrit. And during moogle, they are especially good for binding and croud controll. Put the jerk on the ignore list.

@ OP: Bad players are pretty much those who devalue the game for those around them without reason, respect/courtesy, and/or explanation. The reason could even be downright absurd but if given respectfully they wouldn't be a "bad player."

Unskilled players are a different story altogether. People reserve the right to request to play on their own terms. At the same time, those terms should not dictate the group, rather actions on their own initiative. While it isn't "wrong" to say that you only desire to play with skilled individuals it is wrong to leverage that belief in order to exclude others who were already present. It would be different if they stated that they didn't feel the group would perform without naming specific people or if they had made the party themselves.

I did this sometimes for Ifrit (same server, too) but made sure my /sh were for experienced players and asked via /t if they had won consistently. Again, these were for groups that I built myself. And if joining groups with inexperienced players I generally will leave after 3 straight losses without making a scene. That's the right way to do what the individual did to you. Sorry you had a bad experience.

At the same time, you also have to remember that a lot of people are up over 200 wins now are trying for a final weapon and rightfully frustrated so that may be some of the reason for the behavior. Again, the principle is fine but the behavior is not.

Everyone starts out new to things. Some pick them up faster than others. Some already have better gear than others. Does better gear help? yea it does. But does handling your class, learning the fights and how to respond on a moments notice matter too? sure does.

Gear will always help, but if you can adapt and become better over time, it matters less, to the point I would bring you to anything if I know you are trying and see improvement. If you fail to adapt, especially to things that dont change (ifrit fight) and die, cause others to die while raising you, waste mp/time on you, then that is what I would call a bad player.

I would do something similar as well, if I was about to unleash a big WS, and I knew I might take hate, I would up my DEF as well.
