    Shirogane plot difference

I notice that the large plots in Shirogane are not the same size as say the large plots in other other residential area's of Lavender Beds, Goblet, and Mist. I measured in steps that my character took (walk mode) starting from the edge of house or potential house to the fence. A large front yard, in any of the old residential areas, is 15 paces where in Shirogane, it's only 9 paces. The same as a medium plot would be.

Can anyone confirm this for me and if so, why would this be? Seems like people are being shorted a bit of yard space in the new Shirogane if they purchase a large house.

Yep. Noticed this for all plot sizes as wll. Maybe its to create a more, japanese and therefore "beautifully efficient" compact design...

Are you basing these steps on the amount of steps on the distance between the fence, and the edge of the red area that shows up in an empty plot when you get close to it?
You have to keep in mind that the red area encompasses every part of the mansion, including the balcony that hangs over the front yard a bit.

To get the correct comparison, you have to walk until you reach the edge of the area just under the balcony (not right under, as you can't enter the red area of an empty plot).
Using Mist plot 5 and Shirogane plot 30 (since both are identical to each other), I counted the same amount of steps when taking the above mentioned part in mind.

The yard always looks smaller, no matter the plot or area, until a house is actually built on it. Then it gains some space.

I didn't think I was going crazy. I thought "how unfair". People should all have the same yard in all of the residential areas based on size.
Thanks for clearing that up, Aurou.

I think empty plots include the space for tarps, 2nd floor balcony or terrace door if the exterior has one.
It will be bigger after the house built unreserve those space for yard.

I didn't count but they did visually look smaller, that being said the "allowed to walk" area on a plot without a house on it changes once a house is there, I think. If you count again, you might want to count from the back of the property to the front to see if there actually is a difference.
