We really need several English server in Japan Data Center!

I'm not sure why the first few comments are attacking the person as if they are saying the people on the Japanese servers must know English. At no point did they ever state that, they simply requested another English speaking server in Japan since the preferred one is full and not accepting people.

Except it won't happen because English servers in the JAPANESE Data Center is contradictory.

There's a reason why there's auto-translation (accessed via TAB while in chat mode) in the game if we want to communicate basic information with them.

Also, why are white knights in shining armor like you nitpicking on us berating the OP when...

Typhon and Kujata are you next best bet since these two servers were made Preferred worlds when Stormblood was released. You can try your luck there, especially the latter.

Otherwise, go to the current Preferred servers and search from there.

Why should SE create servers catering to the English-speaking players at this point of time when said communities have already come up with their own fix years ago?

Even if Tonberry's full, people have flocked to the aforementioned servers to start up similar albeit smaller groups to gather English users.

What is impeding SQEX from setting up a Oceania dedicated server in the nearby region? It's been 4 years after all.

And now think of the japanese players who have to deal with people who don't understand japanese and yes there are regions in the world where not everything is revolving around english. Do you think thats better? I don't think so.

How does "deal with it" is considered self entitled? Do you mind elaborating this? Is it not COMMON SENSE that if your a minority playing on a different majority, isn't it a given that you work to integrate to the culture of the majority?

Ever wonder why after 4 years Oceania is still not getting a DC?
Here is my theory, they might have done a research on how many Oceania/SEA player plays FFXIV. Maybe there is just isn't enough players to cover the cost of a whole new DC.

Besides if your on EU, maybe you shouldn't have commented since your not affected or suffering in any way.

I don't see an issue with having a DC for Oceania. A DC is just a cluster of servers that are logically grouped together. SE could locate these wherever they wish. While English is the main language in Australia and NZ there are numerous other countries that come under the Oceania heading. For many of these countries English is a second language that is used to communicate with players that have a different native language. It appears that this works adequately for them. It also appears they understand why the Japanese groups would generally prefer to have all Japanese language groups. However the current server setup more or less forces these groups together or creates situations where people cannot find like minded players. As both the Oceania and Japanese players have what I consider reasonable rationales the better solution is to find a way to accommodate the Oceania players and segregate the two player bases. This would be accomplished by creating some English preferred servers that are closely related an given preference in DF and PF (their own DC perhaps).
