Legacy Characters and Server Transfers

I'm contemplating transferring servers and am trying to convince a few friends to come with me. However, one is worried about losing his legacy tattoo. To clarify, it's a legacy character on the legacy server of Hyperion. Theoretically we'd be moving to another world like, let's say for argument, Faerie, a non-legacy world in a whole other data center.

Would his legacy character lose the tattoo just for moving from a legacy server to a non-legacy server? Ideally someone within XIV's staff could answer this, but I'd appreciate any assistance.

Aside from restrictions everyone else face, Legacy Characters lose nothing from a transfer. I speak this from experience, I moved from Ragnarok (EU-Legacy) to Midgardsormr (NA normal). So, no, your friend won't lose their tattoo or legacy 'bo or legacy goober (if they had it)

Same, I even changed data centers when I moved, still have the tat, etc.

You should know it's better to stay....

But no, nothing is lost on a transfer.

The tattoo is for every character created during 1.x (and have nothing to do with Legacy account)
Even if the character transfer to another server, it was still created during 1.x

Yep, my friend transferred servers and still kept his tattoo. It's for being a legacy character, nothing to do with the server you play on. No worries.

I have moved and kept everything from being a legacy player
