HELP! PSN questions...

I have been playing this game for a while on my PSN no issue... however my family wants to use my PSN for add ons and game on other systems...

There was something on the PS store that lets me use my 1 SE account on multiple PSN accounts... but it's a new service account...

My question is is there a way for me use my main SE account on a different PSN using that... but swap the service accounts? So I have my main one on a new PSN but that new one will be on the old PSN?

It's confusing and google was no help...

Does anyone know? Am I the only person that thought of this? Am I crazy?

You can only use one PSN account per Square Enix Account. If your family wants to you a PSN account for games and add ons then why don't you make a separate profile for that and leave your PSN account alone for private and for FFXIV use?

As far as I'm aware, once you link your PSN account to your SE account, you cannot link your SE account to another PSN account, and visa-versa. Your SE account will always be linked to the first PSN account you linked it to, and as far as I know, that cannot be changed.

But if your family gets another PS4, why cant they just make a new PSN account for it? Do they want to play your games that bad?

It's generally best for each of your family members to have their own PSN account. (Those can be sub-accounts of your PSN account if you want them still linked together. Or just entirely separate PSN accounts if that's easier.)

So you want to move your SE account onto a different PSN account, but make a new SE account for your family to use on your old PSN account? Why not just put the new SE account on the new PSN account, and leave the old link as it is? I'm not sure I entirely get what you're trying to here or why.

They have separate accounts... because PS4 you can't use the same account... it's because my account is on 3 PS4's...

And only 1 can be the main...

I will make a picture... I have:

PSN 1 > SE 1 > Account 1

I want to know that with this add on can I make:

PSN 2 > SE 1 > Account 2

Then swap them:

PSN 2 > SE 1 > Account 1

PSN 1 > SE 1 > Account 2

So I can still play with my game, even though they have to use mine to access all my add ons and games I bought. Cause honestly, I just want to know what that add on is for... and why the heck was it made for...

Ah, I see, at least partially. That lets you use multiple SE service accounts (under the same parent SE account apparently) on the same PSN account. But if your family have separate PSN accounts anyway, I still don't understand why they'd want to use yours and you'd want to move to a different one.

Separate service accounts still require separate game purchases and separate subscription fees. Being under the same overall SE account just provides a common login to the MogStation to manage all of them. If you want that, I'm pretty sure you can set up the service accounts on the MogStation itself. Then when you buy the additional copies of the game, register them on your family's PSN accounts, just link them to the newly set up service accounts.

(I haven't actually tried doing that, though. I have both a PSN master account and sub-account, and both have FFXIV, but they're linked to entirely separate SE accounts rather than separate service accounts under a common overall SE account.)

It sounds (from the description) more like this is so that you can have both:
PSN 1 > SE 1 > service account 1
PSN 1 > SE 1 > service account 2

If you're looking at PSN 2, you wouldn't need an add-on, just another regular purchase of the game. But on a PSN account where you've already bought the game, it doesn't allow you to buy it again, so they list what's essentially another game purchase as an add-on (for people who want to play multiple accounts).

No, it's not possible to swap SE accounts between different PSN accounts. Once linked, they're permanently linked.
