FFXIV is not Dyslexia friendly, can we at least get off "One exchange per lifetime"

This is not funny, not only is the names too alike, and they use the same ***** ICON! I simply suggest do what wow did and it will help with the item problem abit. Just have the stat be called "haste" and drop needing skill speed and spell speed. At the very least change the icons, and there is too much copy/paste of icons in general (better visual indicators helps get around needing to recognize names that are too much alike)

Why skill and spell should be one stat:

It is literally the same *** stat, sam skill speed 862, OGCD 2.42, *changes to blm* spell speed 910, OGCD 2.42.. wtf??? just name it haste and get rid of split stats if you are not going to have them actually act as split stats. So combining them would have no change in game play whatsoever except RDM.
    Then there is this:

I was buying that caster ring for BLM when I mistakenly hit the healing brace when I wanted the healing ring for my healer as well. The names are too much alike. When I contacted a gm, they will not exchange it because something I did in HW.

    1. Get off the one time per lifetime item fix per account, there is no reason to be that strict in this game. 1. No gear is that valuable to warrant that, 2. it is too easy to make mistakes with how names of gear and vendors are set up, it is too easy to click on something you do not want.

In wow it gives you a 2 hour time span when stuff like this happens to exchange it back. The thing in HW would of saved me from the same headache, and this happened to me before in 2.0 as well, but I did not use the 1 trade per lifetime thing because it was not worth something like that for that item. I am really sick of trying to read names under a microscope, take a lot of time doing so, and still get it wrong with heavy penalties. I actually did meld skill speed in my blm once because of this issue and had to go remove it at bonefire place thing.

I wrote ingame suggestions before on this issue and back then when the 2.0 situation happened. Back then, I could not find someone to post for me. Now that it has happened again on another time gate item, it reminded me of this problem.

Long posts that explain this better and what happened (Repeat, the error pop up of unable to equip for current job does not help at all/changed nothing if I spent 5 hours starring at it):

There is no time constraint behind selecting these items. I don't have dyslexia or poor eye sight but I still check a million times before I make purchases. I agree the names are similar but if you just take your time you won't make mistakes. And even if you do, you just gota farm up the parts again to get the right pieces. And with the way the game works more than likely you will eventually need the healing gear anyway.

It isn't something the development team needs to worry about. And changing the names from the gear set name would make it awkward when trying to figure out if you have a full set or not. Set names are used in most all games so it isn't anything new. Just slow down and check all of the windows tat it pops up yelling at you that you are buying something.

It asks you to confirm whether you want to continue with a purchase if you cannot equip the item, that is enough of a warning to make sure you're buying the right thing.

Everybody else manages to buy the right gear, I don't see why you can't?

My wife has dyslexia. She has been playing this game since ARR launch and has never incorrectly purchase an item.

Yep. Kick myself in the derriere and start over. While it would be nice to have a sell back period I'd rather SE spend its time on other matters like fixing Summoner and Scholar.

Honest mistakes happen and others MMO give a time frame to reimburse the item under certain conditions, why anyone would be against that? It's a mystery!

We are not against the idea, but there are more glarring issues with the game that need handled and this would involve a rather major recording of the game to implement. Resources vs need. we don't need this so don't waste resources doing it.

I don't see why a "buyback period" would be such a bad idea. And if you're worried about people abusing it, maybe limit it to a certain amount a week, say once a week. Or make it if you do anything that would start spiritbonding it, it becomes unreturnable?

Honest mistakes happen. I've made it once myself, but I refused to contact the GM about it. Just went and moved on. That said, I think it was an uncapped currency it used, so probably why I wasn't so annoyed. It'd be a nice QoL change that would allow for mishaps like this to be recuperated.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
