No more dresses for armor...

Hi,

It's really starting to get to me how each new update; with it's new flashy armor just seems to turn out to be spikes, coats and dresses. What happened to simple, original and pratical armor; has that rulebook been thrown out the window?

For example; they've used most mob models from FFXI, why don't they use some of the armor models as well? Clean, pratical and elegant designs, not dresses on every single piece of chest gear. The Genta/Genji gear for Striking looks hidieous and is the most unpratical looking armor for a fast moving class; it's pure face palm.

I can see most Samurai's / Monks now are simply Glamour'ing the Rise of the Dragon gear because it's the only decent looking none dress piece we have.

Please please SE, just make some simple jackets/osodes!

I get what you're saying, but it's far far far to biased towards dresses; just rotate your camera around in ANY populated area and find an armor that doesn't have material going below the waist, you'll count them on one hand, if that.

I think that most of the dresses (robes) are caster gears but still it would be nice to have more variety even though the caster coats to make a change. something like the Jhakri from ffxi would be nice

I don't mind dresses at all on my character, but as they clip so much I can agree that more halfrobes, tunics and jackets would be great!

Not that more variety wouldn't be welcome. Some nice, trim armor wearable by caster classes would certainly be different at least.

No, but okay - I get where you come from, and jokes aside, I agree. Sometimes one just donesn't want flowing gowns attached to armors that should be designed to slay stuff.

I'll also add that I'd like, if possible, slightly bulkier sets for casters... all I have right now is that one chest piece from moonfire faire (the posing rangers one).
