Final Fantasy XIV - Discounted Rates

Hello everyone!
I finally remembered to set the paying method for FFXIV through SE Account Management, but when I logged in I saw something that confused me. Here is it:

Where as you can see, under the voice "Discounted Rates effective until FINAL FANTASY XIV Version 2.0" the cost of 180 days service is 29.94 € (2994 C).
Can anyone help me out please?

yeah it was a bit convoluted the way they posted it. The discounted version didn't include the 3 dollar character fee, and the base sub fee does not include a character. So you have to also calculate the 3 dollar character fee for each month plus the base sub fee that is discounted. I hope that helped.

what the OP was missing is right under the 4.99 price it stated this

* One character save slot as well as a basic service fee is required to play FINAL FANTASY XIV.
* The price for one character save slot is $3.00. An additional $3.00 charge will apply for every additional character save slot.
