Will Tonberry Server ever allow transfers again ?

I'm stuck in a wasteland for my timezone on Masamune (Australian player).

The forums say Tonberry is where the Aussies go, but that servers been locked when I've ever looked; Lately and the same from years ago.

High ping times make the instances almost unplayable unless the fights are memorised.

Is there another server the overflow Aussies -like myself- are going in the JP data centre ?

Eventually it will open again. If not, it will become a ghost town as players eventually quit playing. But it will likely be a long time, still.

As long as the server is overpopulated it will probably be closed for incoming characters, my FC haven't had new recruits lately as there are no new players coming in.

If only another server has been dedicated for AU/SEA areas, since we in AU have to go to a JPN server it's potentially full always. The recent stat show tonberry has the highest population in all servers, though not highest in terms of active players, so lots of inactive players that are potential to quit, opening slots in the server.

You cna subscribe to those websites that send information when serever slots are available. I did that last year for s friend, and we were able to get a slot for him eventually.

Thank you for the responses all. I found the facebook page for the Tonberry/Kujata crowd and I'll sit over on that data centre for now.
