    Archer doesn't actually shoot anything

    So I made a post in the bug report forum and I guess it's "not a bug" - but my archer doesn't seem to actually "SHOOT" an arrow from his/her bow. I will draw the bow, and loose the arrow, but the actual arrow just kinda disappears, there is no graphic for the arrow in flight.

    Is there a way to change this? I've got all settings maxed out, playing at 2560x1440 so I think I'd be able to see it if it were there. What's the deal? Any help?

    Nope, just how it's animated. Arrow vanishes, and there's an impact animation on the target. Guns are the same way. Only slower projectiles (thrown objects, some spells) get animated.

    That's dumb.

    Why? It's 2017, this isn't like some technological feat of miracles. It looks so stupid and immersion breaking.

    They really need to stop updating this mmo and create new final fantasy online game that uses todays technology. Maybe then wouldn't have same problems this game had for so long. Random disconnects dx11 errors and so on.

    That was one of the reasons 1.0 failed, due to a high amount of players who couldn't play it.

    I'm currently at around 7500 hours of playtime on my main, do you really think i would start again at zero when they replace XIV with a new game
