Yokai Medals

Square, can you comment on the rationale behind giving Yokai Medals (the base ones, not the legendary) zero purpose beyond getting the minions? It's strange that the farming in this event goes well beyond just getting medals for minions when those medals are useless long before you're done with the event. Personally, I'm sitting on two stacks and I'm not even halfway done with the weapons. Would you consider adding in some form of exchange like 10 base medals for one legendary?

In addition to the Yo-Kai Watch themed weapons, there will also be Yo-Kai Watch minions to collect!
You'll be able to earn all of the minions somewhat easily, but the weapons will be tough to get.

Yoshida: We wanted to make it so people could get as many of the weapons as possible, but Hino had some thoughts on this.


Hino (Level-5 CEO): We wanted to make it so you have to put some thought into which weapon you want to aim for.

I was under the impression you needed it for the legendary medals as well.

I wear the bracelet to count how many FATEs I have grinded for this event. :3

They could very well have designed some fluff item like special fireworks for each Youkai or some other simple stuff like that, to be exchanged for youkai medals.

It's a missed opportunity to expand the event a little bit more. But since it's a recycled event, there's really little point talking about it.

Finally got all my weapons and glowy mount Still, it would be nice if you could do something with these excess medals. I'd be happy to trade em for some Geisha Greens or something lol. Should I just get rid of them or save them for next year in case they decide to add something? Decisions decisions.

They're not going to add anything for that very reason. Why add items that people can buy immediately instead of farm? Just chuck 'em.
