Possible solution to no hardware AA for high res Nvidia players

I dont wanna link to this driver hack because theres no reason to believe its clean or actually works.

You can google "force lod clamp" and there is a post about this app that works on 900 series cards (dunno about 1000 series).

It supposedly forced clamping of LOD, what this means is it may fix the problem and at worse improve it.

If anyone wants to be a guinea pig I suggest they try it in a VM or on a throw away installation of a test rig. The app was published in 2015 so if it doesnt work yet seems clean I suggest trying on a much older driver version.

Theres no way around this except SGSSAA using Nvidia Inspector and only with the DX9 client, this is very demanding. Or you can walk around the whole game staring at your feet. If you are used to having AA in games and you arent sitting too far away from your screen you will notice a lot of things flicker especially on a sunny day in game around noon.

Im starting to think Nvidia is paying them to leave this out so people buy better cards for DSR, even though DSR isnt good enough to address it completly.

Here is a video demonstrating the problem, its most noticeable on the stairs on the right. This is 1440p in game, recorded in 1080p then compressed by iOS before upload and compressed again by streamable so the quality isnt too good.

And no settings in game or in nvidia control panel can fix it for the dx11 client and the dx9 client takes a 50-75% performance hit running SGSSAAx4.
