About players affected by the recent Storms and Earthquakes

    As per the topic...

    Dear SE:

In the past, Yoshi has made statements and housing concessions with regards to unfortunate events like the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.

Meanwhile, there are many currently being affected and displaced in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean Isles, by Hurricane Irma and Harvey, while Mexico city was also affected by a massive earthquake and Hurricane Katia.. Will Yoshi be making a fair statement for them as well?

For starters, more than half my FC (since they are mostly EST) was somewhat affected, and several had to evacuate. Just putting this thought out there because seemingly no one has openly mentioned it yet.

This one is asking if SE will voice an opinion at all on the topic.

I'm guessing Yoshida would have to consult with higher ups before anything could be said or done. It would be nice to have at least a no for whatever reasons; the seeming ignoring of the topic is worrying. I don't exactly suspect an answer quickly; took a while to respond to the price changes on Steam for the Brazilian and Russian players.

Adding something like "Yoshi and devs, please consider this" doesn't suddenly increase the chances of a dev response. If that is the goal however, even the other thread has a more effective title than this one for that.

If anything, they are more than likely going to reply to the busiest thread, and the one that constantly gets bumped to the top - which is likely the other one as there is an active discussion going on there.

Don't mean to undermine the efforts here or nitpick about the structure of the post, as I am all for suspending the reclaim timer (this is coming from someone who isn't anywhere near that part of the world).

My point here is that directing a post toward the dev team doesn't increase the chances of a response.

It's one thing to petition for a suspension of rules out of compassion. But it's quite another to use emotional blackmail to get your way.

What really is the point of asking whether S-E or Yoshida will consider the petition? They are the creators of a commercial product, beholden first and foremost to corporate rules. They're not politicians elected by North Americans or Caribbean islanders. They are not answerable to your wishes.

They might consider the petition, out of goodwill. But passive-aggresive requests like the OP's smacks to me of entitlement. If it were me, I wouldn't entertain such "requests".
