FFXIV community raised $21,000 for natural disaster relief charity

Just to add light to the positive side of the community, several FFXIV content creators teamed up to host a 12 hours community event to raise funds for a hurricane relief charity (reddit thread on it) and managed to raise $21,000, over 300 players participated creating new characters in Siren and even a GM joined in.

Although I personally wasn't able to participate it's good to see the things the community can do together. Good job everyone involved!

I got to be a part of the Lalafell march during beta and it was a lot of fun, I wish I could have gone to this as well, so awesome what they have achieved.

This was absolutely amazing - so many new characters created in Siren for the relief event and the server locked down in 30 minutes, then they announced Midgardsormr as the second server and a lot of players joined there for the parallel parade. Many local players also joined in to help protect the low-lvl lalas all along the way and help teleport to Limsa with FC house. Well done to the organisers and everyone who participated and contributed.

Any pictures of the Lalafell invasion? If they do it on Zalera, I would make a Lalafell for it. I already got a good name for one.

I participated in that and it was awesome. Someone created a free company we could all join and we reached rank 3 or 4 if I remember correctly. We had over 300 members in that fc. After we began the march in Revenant's Toll a bunch of lvl70s escorted us through the ARR zones to make sure we were okay and could go through the FATEs that were on our path. While we were waiting for Gorgimera to spawn someone managed to get hold of a GM but he could not tell us exactly how many people were in Northern Thanalan at that moment. A bit later Odin spawned and we beat him. I took a bunch of pictures and might edit this post later to post them.
