No, you're asking to change it because of a medical condition and what me and other people did was direct you towards a solution for your it because it will not stop just changing the speed of the mount.

Calm down
Your game won't get changed because of a toggle. You simply don't toggle it while those of us who had no preview of the mount speed have to stay with it.
Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean they're wrong, specially when it doesn't affect you

OP has literally said that they only get dizzy when they use the upgraded speed...
A toggle will hurt no one while helping those who are now stuck with a speed that they don't like.
I never said I was against it, I just pointed that OP should look for a better solution for this problem since motion sickness is a medical condition
This is the only game that has done this, and it is only when in ARR areas riding a mount at increased speeds. Any of the other multitude of games I have? No issue. That includes Mirror's Edge, which made many people a little queasy. And I am not going to see a doctor over one part in one game. If it were with various games? Different story.
But it got me thinking. I know there's others who have a problem with the mount speed increase, to a less or greater degree than I. We can change graphic settings, key bindings, UI layout, there's even accessibility options, and more just to make the game more comfortable. So why not this?
Some people have issues with FoV settings in games, and if there's no option to change it, no one goes "Go see a doctor!", they look to the devs and go "Guys! FoV slider plz!". The first Borderlands is an example of this. PC users got around it by messing with the game's .ini file and keybinding set FoV values. Unfortunately, I can't mod FFXIV to move at a speed I want.
And this is why I am turning to the devs and going "Yo,guys. The mount speed increase is cool and all, but can we toggle it please? It's causing a few of us discomfort."

I just chimed in because you said you had motion sickness, in no way I presented myself against toggling mount speed. As someone that has very bad motion sickness to the point of having to take medicine, it's only rational to *me* to take them, instead of just changing the game as I said. If this was another of the billions threads asking for something out of the devs I would not have said anything.
They also need to add the water distortion toggle to console. As someone with vertigo it can give me some minor problems occasionally.
I concur with the idea of toggling the speeds on or off, but not for the same reason as the OP. There are some spots worth climbing/reaching, some for Sightseeing and some for otherwise, that are more difficult if not impossible to reach with the enhanced speeds. I'm glad to have my own ARR log completed, but still... Some people might want to do them, or maybe we want to climb on top of places even after the fact. *shrugs*

I'd like a toggle. After getting enhanced speed for La Noscea I decided not to bother with the other ARR areas. I dont get queasy but still, if I'm not rushing to a hunt, I would like the option to slow down and enjoy the ride.
