[Request] Allow Players Toggle Mount Speeds

Since the increase in mount speed for ARR areas with the release of SB, going into those areas and riding a mount gives me (and others) motion sickness, and it's especially bad if someone picked up the extra speed increase from hunts.

Can it please be made so players can toggle what speed they want an area set for? Open areas aren't so bad, but I can't go anywhere in the Shroud and half of La Noscea without walking away feeling nauseous & my eyes hurting.

Just finished the daily ARR Hunts and now I'm going to take some Advil and lay down for a while.

I find it interesting what exactly would trigger your motion sickness, as it is usually caused by things such as head bobbing or an unnatural field of view. However, riding a mount with increased speed changes nothing from walking than the speed at which you move.
It would be the easiest solution for yourself to see a doctor about what medication you can take (as regular over-the-counter motion sickness meds usually cause drowsiness) but if this is an issue many players experience, I do think the devs should look into some options that could help with that. If the problem is everything moving around at a speed where there's no fixed point to focus on, you could try just sticking a point in the middle of your screen, this would also be an option the devs could easily implement, that simply displays a static dot on your screen. Maybe focusing on the UI could help there too, but I imagine that would make actually seeing where you're going a little challenging.

Interesting, I am particularly sensitive to motion sickness but have never encountered it by riding a mount in XIV. Motion blur is a big trigger for motion sickness in games, however its very mild in this game.

You don't spin your camera a lot do you? The 'horizon' or even yourself as a focal point is very still when you move in this game so it's odd to me that it would effect you.

I would see a doctor, I get motion sickness quite easily and have never had this problem. You could have something seriously wrong.

This is exactly why I didn't get x2 speed for realm reborn areas (they added too much speed.....the regular x1 speed is great enough).
Hope they add it for those that got x2 speed...

I concur. My wife gets motion sickness playing this game and this was prior to the speed boost, so her issue is slightly different. It's usually the whole moving the camera around spinning the background part that gets her dizzy. She can't watch me play, because of this as well since I'm crazy with the camera angles.
