Legacy Mode - Disable Camera Auto-Adjust

When playing in Legacy Mode, whenever you walk left or right, the camera will automatically slowly adjust itself to face the direction you are walking in. I don't know how well this benefits PC players, but as a PS4 player, I find it extremely annoying.
I have played this game since the Closed Beta back on PS3, and I'm honestly both surprised and disgusted that this still doesn't have an option to disable it.
If you play in Standard Mode, then you don't have this problem. But the problem I have with Standard mode is that the player backs up very slowly, which makes fighting more difficult.

I think it's far past time that either this gets resolved, or that PS4 gets it's own exclusive Camera Mode.
Please Square Enix. As a long time player of your game that I enjoy very much, this is all I have ever asked of you. I doubt it's too much to ask.

Please bump this so Square Enix can see it!

That's by design, that's just how legacy mode works. Like it says on the description when you change modes, legacy is camera based, standard is character based.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure 1.0 used "legacy mode" (it was a long time ago, my memory is hazy, but that would also explain why it's called that) and since it's been like that for 7 years now, it'd just cause issues for a lot of players who use it if they suddenly change it.

I don't know how well this'd work on a controller (I've only done it using keyboard/mouse), but if your only problem with standard is the slow walk backwards, I recommend trying to remap left/right from the default turn left/right to strafe left/right. Then when you want to get out of an AoE turning 90 degrees left/right and strafing the rest of the way out of it.

I'm probably not explaining it very well, but whilst it's not quite as convenient as just walking backwards, it does become very easy to do.

I'm aware of the differences between Standard and Legacy. But on PS4, Legacy is the default, and it's with good reason. Standard really doesn't suit PS4, and Legacy is ALMOST perfect. The ONLY thing it needs, is the option to disable to Camera Auto-Adjust entirely.
I've gotten used to Legacy Mode the way it is now, but it doesn't mean I don't want an improvement. Having it disabled better suits players that play most games on Console. Mainly because every other Third-Person Game I play doesn't have this.
Now, one thing I would find to be unnessesary to add is an Over-The-Shoulder Third-Person option. But what I'm asking for really should've been available day one in my opinion.

Bump, because I want SE to acknowledge this little problem.

Sorry, but SE don't actually reply on these forums. They're for players to help other players, there's no official support here.

Generally speaking to get any chance of changes made you need to make a thread in General Discussion and if there's enough player feedback on a topic, sometimes a community rep from SE will reply saying they're passing it on to the development teams.

I saw a post on the general forum that literally said the exact opposite, and that the topic should be moved to this section.
