So i should cancel my monthly sub and get a 90 day's card, that way i will get the mount.

If you've had a continuous subscription with no breaks, you'll get the mount. They just have 2 delivery dates. September 5th and October 5th. Those who were already eligible got it on the earlier date, those paying month to month won't yet have accrued the 90 days within the required period, so they'll be on the second date.
