-Hydaelyn is supposedly round like most planets; we see it from space during King Thordan's Ultimate End.

Amusingly, this would be unusual in the history of Final Fantasy, being that most of the world maps in previous games would fit with a torus; you go off the north edge and reappear in the south, which doesn't work with a globe.
