Kugane Castle - Yojimbo

This Aeon was one of my fav on ffx, no wonder I was exited to fight it on Kugane Castle but boy oh boy... was I disappointed...
To be honest... it's easy. The fight is absurdly easy... I expected something so epic from a former summon. The concept of the fight is not bad it's just the special mechanic is near useless, and there are so few mechanics that the fight becomes a simple tank and spank. We always pick the coins on the floor, leaving 1 or 2 for the dog at best... After doing it in daily roulette it became worst... no coin left...
Please make the fight harder.

Also I want to fight him as a Trial latter... plix plox?!

That guy didn't pay him enough to kill us, we stole the money meant for Jim. He even mentions to the Roe, "you'll only get what you pay for." or some such. So yeah. Jim could easily kill us, but wasn't paid to.

Yojimbo was a summon that did damage based on the amount you paid him. So maybe he'll show up as an ex trial later when someone can pay him a whole lot more than that guy in kugane... I mean literally it was just small piles of gold. Most players are probably richer than that guy ;P

In the future patches, they can easily introduce a sidequest where the guy escapes from jail and swears vengeance on us.

This time, he spends a huge fortune and pays Yojimbo upfront so the swordsman agrees to kill us on sight.

I love Yojimbo but it was a big disappointment to see him be a regular dungeon boss and not a Primal Trial. I was looking forward to a really hard EX fight for him, considering how prestige he is coming out of FFX. In the future I hope the devs fashion the story to pull Yojimbo into a Trial, much like how Diablo went from a dungeon boss to a 24man raid boss.

No, with Yojimbo, you pay him per attack.

No. The amount of money had nothing to do with the damage he did. It just had some influence on the RNG.

There was just one reason to pay him more than one Gil in FFX: You wanted to increase the chance to get Zanmatou.
