I'm currently using Stormshade, and it works perfect.Reshade itself disables its own depth buffer when it detects network activity, because you can use it to see objects obscured by effects (think being able to see through smoke in an FPS). As a result, some game makers whitelist Reshade in their anti-cheat software.
FFXIV does not have such a system, so simply modifying the code to remove the network activity check and recompiling works fine. This project basically has everything you are looking for.
Hmm are you sure? There is no depth buffer available for me with the dll I downloaded from github, you can test it by using SMAA debug mode for depth edge detection.
I have made many presets in the past and read the documentation and guides from Marty and this preset has MXAO and HDR set incorrectly. Whites are crushed with HDR so it is doing the opposite of what it should and MXAO has Normal bias set to 0 which is a no no and pointless at best. The preset is also in configuration and not performance mode.
It has responsibly only been patched for FFXIV but 2 months ago so my guess is it works with HW but not SB.
