I think it'd fine. So we can't have a few things. Not the end of the world. We'll get other cool stuff, and hopefully they'll learn some things for the next mmo out of what we ask for here that they can't accomplish. Will it be a few years? Sure. I'd be happy to have a new FF mmo in say... 2025. I think that would be an acceptable amount of time to see what direction mmos take, what we show sustained interest in, and the direct of technology. Gives them time to build a new engine, make a nice story, and set things up from the get go that we can't have here that we've been asking for.

It's like what are we paying him for? Why are we paying for servers that can't support this? Why hasn't he hired more people to support some of this? Why is there a lack of communication with balance/jobs? Why are we getting yokai watch again, and not monster hunter? Why are we sacrificing content more and more?

To produce and give us the rest of an otherwise functional game? You're acting like the game is unplayable just because it's missing a few of what boil down to QoL features.

And I'm not entirely sure why people seem so convinced that Yoshi-P himself is intentionally holding back certain content and features purely out of spite rather than it being the more realistic reason of him being beholden to his bosses. He's not the God-King of SE and he doesn't have access to infinite time and money.

Yoshi P holds himself accountable as he's said in the past. If there's an issue with some of these requests then they should've planned an overhaul since 2.0.

The ARR engine is a HEAVILY modified version of the original 1.0 engine. Even though it's heavily modified, it's still sporting some of the old ass code from 1.0. So no, it's not an entirely new engine.
