Request: Memorable characters

While I would first and foremost like to see small cutscenes in quests it would help if they put a little bit more effort to giving the world more diverse looking characters. It surely can't take that long to give one npc's appearance a bit more memorable look to it, can it?

This is the one thing I thought for sure SE would improve upon when moving from XI to XIV.

Characters re important even outside of the main story-line.
