AF3 (4.0) is purchasable from the calamity vendor NPC once you finished the lv 70 jobquest.
So just throw it away if you don't need it and buy it later when you need it again

For Mog Station gears I have this idea:
Change it that the Mog Station don't sell the gear directly, but a coupon for that gear. The player get the coupon from the Moogle Post, give it to a specific NPC (a Moogle can do that job) and the NPC unlock the gear of that coupon in his shop for purchase. This way the gear will be repurchasable like with the gears fom the calamity NPC.

Or they can just make the gear storable and repurchasable like every seasonal gear they're selling alongside.
