This game doesn't differentiate between your allies' attacks and yours, when it comes to the 'Pop-up Text' section of the config. You can either see everybody's text, or nobody's.

If you want the 'flying text', which is the text that appears at the top part of an enemy when you damage them, enable that. The pop-up text is the stuff like damage-over-time abilities doing damage, or party member damage. So you disabling the pop-up text, and it disabling both your own damage over time/other effects, and your allies' DoT damage, it's working as intended
