(SCH) Broil II/Ruin II + Energy Drain

I have been watching some savage content fights as I just recently returned to SCH after playing WHM. I see some people weaving in ED between their Broil IIs, and other using Ruin II with ED instead, so I was wondering which is better in the current patch? Thanks

As miasma 2 is double potency than ruin 2 scholars are using that for weaving. Be careful, tho; miasma 2 costs a large amount of mp.

If mana is an issue, then Broil + E-drain + Broil. Weaving miasma 2 is a gain in potency of ~39 over delaying global but at the cost of a huge chunk of your mp bar, so not really worth it for single target unless you're near the target and never have to worry about MP for that fight.

Miasma 2 is amazing for fights where you can't stay still to cast Broil.

You can use ED after Broil II but it would not be weaving anymore, the ED will clip your gcd a bit however it is still a DPS gain over weaving Ruin II > ED. Most people do this in place of Ruin II when they need to use up their Aetherflow Stacks and don't want to burn it on clipping a dot. That being said, Ruin II should only ever be used if you have to move out of / for a mechanic and like others have already said you would be better weaving Miasma 2 into ED than Ruin II if you don't have that DOT up already.
