Just another thread asking for in-game parsing for ps4 users

Honestly, you shot yourself on the foot after the very first post. Not only does it show bad manners but also goes againts what you say ''harrasment'' You call parsing a harrasment, pretty much saying a gun kills people when it's actually the person who triggers it. A parser isn't bad, it depends on a whole on the person who use it.
And legit I see more harrasment of people who proclaim they can have clears because they have the right. You have no right to clear any content with bad attitude againts team mates nor do you have right to drag down 3-7 and 23 people because you simply can't pick up yyour own fight to improve.

You report people even when someone wil say someone is doing low dps, you can even notice that WITHOUT a parser, not always but some cases. You gonna fill in reports about ps4 players having an opinion too? I don't care if you gonna report people because eventually they will get tired of the false reports and you need to just stick with it honestly.

If you read my other post you'd see I explained they have to say something that makes it seem like they are using one.

If they say something that Makes it seem like they are using one yes, I'll gladly file a report. If its false I'm sorry, but oh well, I'd rather file a report against someone who could be using one and potentially abusing players.

You're literally saying in that second line of yours that if it sounds like one, you'll report them and if they aren't using one anyways, too bad so sad.

As if the GM who's going to investigate your report is gonna be like "Oh well, clearly this player was acting cautiously by reporting just on something that sounded (YOUR WORDS, MIND YOU) like the other one was using a parser."

If you cannot understand or won't understand that filing false reports against players is against the ToS, especially without PROPER chat log evidence, then I truly hope you do get flagged permanently as a report abuser.

Look, I am pro-parser, like everyone except the two (maybe three?) people I see in this thread.

There are a large number of benefits to knowing your own performance. I have literally never seen someone directly berate another player because of their DPS.
I see more people get harassed for under-performing by failing mechanics etc rather than anyone talking numbers.
This may be in part due to the hefty anti-harassment policy that SE run, however that policy wouldn't change as harassment is still against ToS.

I do however understand SE's stance on the matter, however I think it actually goes beyond the harassment issue (which I haven't personally experienced or seen myself).
I think a part of it is also for security reasons.. If they change their policy to "yes you are allowed parsers and you can talk about them" then they are basically accepting third party application use in some way - which opens them up to risk for malicious applications. Once they start saying yes to third party apps, it blurrs the lines between what is an accepted app and what is against ToS. The "no third party apps at all" policy is partly there to reduce their own risk for malicious attempts of their customer's computers, and to avoid blurring the lines between parsers and applications such as fully automated bots..

You're shouting the old saying "guilty until proven innocent".

Might as well report your best in-game friend, because they might be using one too.
Who knows right? I mean they haven't proven innocence.

Fun fact - in this case, you can only prove guilt, you can't prove innocence. So unless you have absolute grounds that someone is running a parser such as a screenshot of their desktop, then you're jumping the gun quite a bit there.

Start assuming innocence unless proven guilty - and instead, wait for actual harassment and report them on that instead.

While some people may use it "for good" more games than not it's seemed to be a cause for issue. I just wish SE would make up their mind...the whole "don't ask/tell" thing is annoyign imo. Either fully disallow it and ban people, or allow it and say that's that.

I think something that would make a settlement between both parts (from my perspective) would be to make a world dedicated to people who want to use/have parsers used on them.

Wanna parse you and/or others? Transfer to this world(or even 2 or 3 worlds depending on population.

Allow it there. And only have party finder/duty finder work for that world(s) . That way parsers can stay in there little area, and non parsers can be in our area. Lol.

It's about the best solution for both groups imo

I am going to be realistic here.. I know many more people who use and/or accept parsers as a beneficial tool, than those that despise / are against them.

Those that despise them are actually in a rather tiny minority among the community of players that I play with and run into.

If we weren't forced to tip toe around the topic in-game, I am sure you would find that there is only a tiny portion of the community that are against them.

Would be nice to just see my individual dps I could care less about anyone else but learning my mch rotation and all I have to base it off of on PS4 is SSS hitting a dummy is just not the best accuracy for determining dps numbers :/ but I see why SE won't do it lol spent 30mins in a V3s party where the BRD harassed the SAM because his dps wasn't high

I think that I have seen more forums post crying about the issue of parser user making them feel bad then I actualy saw someone bashing on another player for low DPS due to using a parser.

In my whole MMO playing life I think that I saw only 1 time where someone started to bash on another players for his low DPS on parse that wasn't due to the player clearly beeing watching stream while playing.


Parser hater really exagerate the problem of parsing. I know for a fact someone reporting me for using a parser. But that stupid summoner was just sending his pet and would cast about 1 spell every single minute. The problem wasn't my parser usage but more the fact that he clearly wasn't playing the game and was angry that I caught him.

So I was just in a few susanos and had a blast because even if some wasn't as high as the others we killed it around 6 min and 30 seconds to 7 min, which is faster, about 2-3 min faster than an average group in susano extreme. So this chat also have a innocent player asking if someone use a parser and look at the way they ask. Is this seriously something that only concerns me? Because he only asked to know how he perform because he can't due to ps4 and then someone on the ps4 actually replied saying their dps since someone else said it for them. There are plenty of players like this who wonders and this also makes me frustrated that

What made me sad is that he was afraid to ask if someone actually used a parser, just because some trigger happy report people exist these days. Which is fine and I understand you completely there. There was a guy who won the susano mount once and he said FUCK YES! And got 24 hours ban, because someone reported him for being over exicted. There is also a filter in game but whoever that was decided to be a ass about it. There are plenty of things people just report others for and there are far too many trigger toxic players these days. Oh yes one of my old static members hat a little argument with someone in a dungeon and they both were a bit offending but our guy didn't report the other one but the guy reported him and he got 24 Hours vacation. I don't understand people who report every fart and i understand SE even less for bans like this.
