Not even PC players have a SE parser, so why should PS4 players get one?

To be fair of have act, which while not made by square does what is needed, if there was an option for us to install a 3rd party program like the pc community can, it would be a non issue. But we are disadvantaged by not having the option.
The rules should still stay the same if found abusing people with the tool u will be banned.
There's is no rational reason for it to not be in the game.
The protections from harassment are already in place.

Sorry if I give bad reports, but it is what it is. Parsers are. Against the rules. All it leads to is people harassing others. Yeah, some may not say anything, but alone of people do.

Maybe I'm a bit extreme about it? Absolutely.

But. I feel if you use a parser, when it's specifically against the rules because it causes division amongst players unnecessarily, that it really should be a long and/or permanent ban situation.

I honestly wouldn't be against even asking for a parser netting you a Ban. Because it means you are asking to break the rules.

You're acting as if anyone running a parser just tells everyone how bad they are at the game. In my time of playing this game which is about 2 years I could count on 1 hand the number of times someone harrased someone else for their dps. And you know for some people min maxing their dps is actually a huge part of their enjoyment for this game, why would you ban those people that just want to improve their own gameplay simply for running a parser?

The devs and Yoshi-P are aware that people use parsers. They advocate a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy regarding them. Very few people actively harass other players over parses in general content outside of Savage and statics--where parsers and parses actually matter. And even in Savage, the parties I've been in rarely make snide comments about low DPS or the like. Anecdotal, but I can say for certain others have similar experiences where people don't harass players for low parses even in Savage content.

Even during your casual roulettes, there may very well be people parsing in the duties with you. Do you blindly report all the players you run with? What about in 8-man trials? 24-mans? What is the point of such behavior?

What exactly do you people think they're reporting it based on? Scent? Direction of wind? The stars' alignment? Those people most likely were careless enough to say something incriminating, and most of those cases tend to be towards unwarranted criticism if not outright harassment.

How about a personal parser? Only tracks your own performance. You can talk numbers if you wanna in party chat and in the forums and that's how you can tell how you're doing, but it can't be used as a weapon against other users because unless they tell you, you have no way of knowing their numbers (assuming you're only using the legitimate means provided by SE).

Hard to take anyone seriously when they start tossing around memes, but I have met my fair share of jerks in this game. With regards to parsers, I have reported ONE individual who actively harassed another player based on a parse, and it was during a Zurvan Ex farm back in 3.55b. One person. In nearly 2 years of playing this game. But yes, LOADS of people harass players over parses.

Perhaps you should read this individual's first post regarding those they report:

Everyone everywhere does not have a parser. I know I don't not does my girlfriend. Mater of fact, while I don't mind criticism, if anyone says anything that makes it sound like there's even a a tiny chance of them having a parser and/or using it on a run I'm on I report them. That crap doesn't need to be here and it's annoying enough knowing people still use them.

You realise you're the one harassing both other players and the GMs by making countless baseless reports against nothing?

If a player is harassing others, parser or not, sure go ahead and report, I'll do that as well. But reporting others who are just minding their own business and aren't causing any harm to anyone just because you suspect they might be parsing, that's active harassment on your part.

If the Devs are fine with it themselves I don't know who you think you are to judge it any harsher , in fact probably all those reports you might have/not send didn't lead to a single ban wasting the modders time that have to watch your useless reports.

I've been playing this game for 4 years and I've done everysingle content on the game currently on V3s Have yet to see someone get harassed because of their dps numbers, you and all the anti-parsing crowd with your anecdotal proofs of something that happened that one time are a sore tired thumb repeating the same tale to the point is starting to morph into lies. Also the exeption doesn't make the rule because you saw that 1 guy on that one dungeon being toxic, doesn't matter if he had parser or not that doesn't mean everyone with a parser use them solely for harassment.

In fact I've seen people getting more help from parsers than harassed and more people with the same entitle actitude you carry being more toxic than people with parsers they are accusing in-game and here in the forums.
