That still doesn't mean they deserve a free pass to just openly and blatantly break the rules. Doesn't matter what reason they supposedly have. Some people actually enjoy min-maxing their jobs, and creating guides/testing out which stats are the best per job in order to, not only further their own progress, but to help this community. Advocating for the permanent ban of individuals that do all this work and research with ZERO COMPENSATION or ZERO REASON TO DO SO other than out of the kindness of their hearts, is a truly miserable mindset to have..
Also
If I get ban or they start ignoring my reports, then yes i deserved it, but I'm trying to report people who are breaking the rules. They are openly breaking the rules.
As for my friends list? It consists of about 6 people, who I know, hang out with, and live near, all IRL, because we play together. So I can tell you they dont.
I call bullshit on that one btw, since if someone said you didn't do as good as you thought you did, you would mind that criticism, because they probably (by your logical nature) use a parser so, that's when you report them. For all I know you are probably one of those who report their own friend who use a parser as well lol. And what do you call that? Tududududududud.

If it sounds like they are using a parser to know it then yeah, I'll report them. Like "hey, your dps was slow on those groups, you should try harder" and you know my dps how? Probably a parser. There's a chance.
But if they say something like "hey, I see you using this move before or after this other move. Of you do it they other way you may kill stuff faster"
Then that's different.
But, alas, people are gonna be mad at me no matter what I say. It's what happens for being on the end of the extreme. So meh.
...No. You can't have any parsers. I need to be able to blame the other Dragoon when the pug I'm trying to get carried by goes bad. I can't let you ruin my carefree days of free and easy loot, you do-gooding fool. Request this topic be deleted. Now.
Wrong. You don't need a parser to tell when you're carrying someone. Case in point: last night I got The Vault in my leveling roulette. Aside from the MNK in the party dying every other pull (so many Raises on my part--I was WHM), they were also not using AOE skills, AND (icing on the cake here) they were using Fists of Wind instead of Fists of Fire. Doesn't take ACT to tell that we carried them, and that their damage output was definitely poor. My friend used every single mitigation technique they had on pulls, and even with me Holy spamming until I just couldn't anymore, it wasn't enough. Because neither DPS were outputting enough damage. And, again, doesn't take ACT or another parser to see that.I stated in another one of my posts that you obviously missed,

No, that's what happens for having a miserable, toxic attitude. Calling people that parse the bad guys here, yet you are advocating blindly reporting people with no hard, conclusive evidence of them parsing, and wanting to ban people who make the guides and theorycraft posts that help the higher-end community (and even the more midcore/softcore end) with regards to job optimization. But, alas, people are gonna be mad at me no matter what I say. It's what happens for being on the end of the extreme. So meh.

Yes, it doesnt matter if they are helping, if they are breaking the rules, then they are breaking the rules. And deserve whatever punishment they are given.
I'm sorry but that's got to be the most nonsensical mindset I've ever seen. SE and Yoshi-P are aware that a lot of players use a parser, and a lot of top tier raiders who do guides for this game openly record their gameplay with a parser open. What are you gonna do? Report them?
You seem to be trying to act like a white knight, savior of the community from the evil parse users when in reality these people contribute much more to the game and the improvement of the playerbase than you ever will with your random reports. Not only that but you expect people to closely watch your character animations to be able to tell if your DPS is bad, or else you'll report them. That's just gold.
On topic, I doubt an official parser will ever happen but if it did I don't think things would change much if at all. SE already enforces a strict no-harassment policy. I've been playing this game for almost 3 years and I never saw someone get openly harassed because their numbers were low. In dungeons it doesn't really matter and in 99% of cases, people won't kick you even if you do horrible DPS, and in Savage bad DPS players are simply removed without the need for arguments.
Spoken like someone who has no idea what a parser actually does.
You know they just show numbers, right? They don't say, "hey here is your optimal rotation, hit '2' now!"
So the moral of the story is that you don't care enough about improving to look to outside sources (guides, asking veterans, parsing, etc). I mean, "it's your sub"...but if you think that makes you a good player, I have some bad news for you.
