Considering all instances of "he" are replaced with "she" in that paragraph if you're male or female, respectively, it's probably just a teensy minor oversight. It's almost certainly referring to Myste - or rather, you - noting how Myste is going to try and sway you to his point of view, you will customarily reject it, and the whole thing will escalate into a violent confrontation just like it did with Fray. A good deal of the 60 - 70 log is written by Fray, after all.
