Best in Slot for THM gear.

    Hey guys,
With the new patch as any experienced THM come up with a Best in Slot gear set up?
Both with crafted Gear, and dropped gear. Including Materia (Possible Double Melds)

Mainly looking for someone who has crunched the numbers.

    Thanks!

My suggestions are get Magic Acc whenever possible. If you are resisted, even partial resist, your combo ends there. This can hurt your damage badly. Second, magic crit is where a great portion of your damage comes from, so get it where you can. Last, avoid MP materia. Your spells are so expensive that the 35 MP from one piece of materia will not help that much; plus the cap for MP from materia is 350, which is one extra spell... not worth the effort.

I recommend for arms see this thread. Great points are made here.

    Hope that helps!

Sorry, I dont think I made my intentions clear.
    I agree on MAC tho.

I was trying to put together a thread of BIS for other THM who read the thread could use. Hopefully some numbercrunchers/debaters could clear up the air as R50 THM's look to gear themselves better.

Wouldnt +MAC be better for weapon?

I dont think I would put +MP on anything, +HP would be good tho.
I like +Magic Evasion for boots

You can't put +Magic Evasion in boots. Even if you could, feet slot is the best spot to put in a magic potency materia. Lightning Magic Potency is the best for Darkhold and Primal fights, general Attack Magic Potency is good for Strongholds and Spiritbonding parties.

Mp should really only be put into the Body slot unless you want Evasion or Defense or something.

You need to have around 450 magic accuracy to put a dent in Ifrit reliably with Thunder spells, around 470 is ideal. Weapon and Head slots should both have Magic Accuracy unless you've got a double or triple meld in either slot. I don't think the Moogle Primal is nearly as demanding in that regard from my experience. However, as someone else said, when you get resisted, your combo is over so you want to minimize that as much as you can.

So I guess the ideal way to go is get your Magic Accuracy to 460-470, then raise your INT and Magic Potency (Lightning Magic Potency if you do Primals and Darkhold mostly or general Magic Potency if you do other stuff).

Magic accuracy would make sense since your combos don't connect unless the first spell hits fully.

Apparently thm needs a truckload of magic accuracy to be effective. I've read some Japanese posts saying, 460+ minimum, up to 490. If your thunder is resisted, you don't get the combo bonus on thundara, so it's most important.
