I have no issues working with people willing to learn but my patience runs incredibly thin for people either switching roles to get better queue times or just expecting me to carry them. One such example is when I had to yell at a PLD to turn on Shield Oath three times after they pulled in Stone Vigil and wouldn't look at chat. After the second wipe where they couldn't hold aggro, my friend put up the Vote Dismiss. Similar incident happened with my first Shinryu. WAR died to Tidal Wave five out of six pulls then had the audacity to claim the healer was being rude when she last patience. This after she explained the mechanics repeatedly and he just refused to move. It's not difficult to tell who's trying compared to how has no idea what they're doing and just looking for a carry.

DF is a place where you go to CARRY people in exchange of tomes.

Simple as that. That was the intent design behind it, that's why it exists.

Trying to deny that is fooling yourself. You're there to carry the newbs and getting something in return for your trouble - tomestones.

So there's no point in expecting anything from there, you just go, do what you need to do, and if the run was fast and eventless, OK, profit. If it wasn't, it's PAR FOR THE COURSE, you just shrug it off and remember WHY you're there in the first place.

You do have an expectation though. You queue expecting to carry people. It's a cynical expectation, but an expectation nonetheless. These kind of expectations are usually manifested as a result of them previously being too high; the consistent inconsistency has them grow bitter. It's difficult to dispute this when you make claims like the intent and existence behind DF is players of greater skill are there to carry others of lesser skill. If this isn't an superiority complex, I don't know what is.

DF doesn't exist for players to carry other players. I mean seriously, what kind of Debbie-downer attitude is that? It's there for players to help each other because everyone has a reason for using the DF. Whether it's for tomes, a quest, farming glams/cards/mats/etc. everyone, and I do mean everyone queues up with the expectation to clear the instance. And from my view point, anyone with a bad attitude is being carried. Regardless of their skill level.
