    Dungeon guide

    Hi,

I am a new player and tank and wondering if there is a simple and easy to follow dungeon guide out there?

    Thanks

These guys! They run quickly over all relevant points and haven't steered me wrong on any mechanic yet. +1.
The videos are short and to the point as well, no rambling on and on.

Yeah, im a Mizzteq fan too. Telling the group that youre new and asking if there are any mechanics you need to know usually works too. Honestly, in dungeons there isnt usually much to worry about. Something like 90% of trash mobs dont have any mechanics worth worrying about(as in, dodging aoes is enough). The other 10% either have an attack that it helps to stun, or you want to focus them down before they use their big move(like the final sting bees). The only other trash mechanic i can even think of off the top of my head are the qarn facers, and thats 1 mob in 1 dungeon. Bosses have more variety to them, but most can still be figured out as you go if the group cant explain.

There are no mechanics in 4-man content that you can't figure out on the spot. Every 4 man in this entire game is mind-numbingly easy.

The first boss in Bardams. That "get as far away as possible" aoe line is very counter intuitive imo and pretty punishing if you mess it up.

Especially since when you see it in any other dungeon it is a "get closer to take less". I made the mistake of getting closer my first time through that dungeon, ended up dying because of it.

Hmmm... there are some mechanics that still need some briefing for new people. From what I remember :
    - Temple of Qarn : first boss still manage to kill some people
    - Cutter's cry chimera : also quite a newbie crusher
    - Aurum Vale : the whole thing in general is quite murderous
    - Temple of Qarn hard : sabotender queen - wipe feast if group stays deaf to strat
    - Keeper of the lake : bomb dropping boss

But other than that, yea, most of the boss encounters are pretty much straightforward.
