I think it is hilarious that people suggest that destroying ice is the only way to win at Shatter. I have seen many matches where they were won off of kills. I am told by a good friend EU doesn't even waste time with ice.

Its not the only way to win shatter but it is necessary to take objectives if your opponent teams are not braindead people who let themselfs get killed over and over again. Your good friend gives you wrong informations about EU.

It's mostly because of most people in Frontlines and Feast are using bots.

This. Just had a match with 7/8 bots. Not even good bots. At least try to make a half decent bot. Reported.....again.....but i've reported a few of them multiple times for the past while and nothing.

I can obviously just speak of the EU datacenter but i'm pretty sure these people are not bots, they are just snowflakes that don't care about anything, they just want to level their stuff since quetimes for dps are atrocious.

I've noted in many threads and the guide I wrote here some time ago that there are many ways to win Shatter. It's to your team's benefit to either play multiple objectives or be very adaptable on the fly.

If you want a quick match the ice should be the priority but that only works if people are not running around like chickens who lost their head. To win without setting your priority on ice you need a good team otherwhise its impossible.

to be able to win without hitting the objectives, or giving them low priority, the cooperation of the whole alliance is needed it is true...this is the hard part, have the whole alliance cooperate

I've said too many times in shatter for some sort of compromise. People can get kills as well on ice as any other place but still see a lot getting snowed far far away.

On the side note casters should NEVER hit ice due that damage reduction it has against spells, casters should focus on enemy melee that tries to brake ice instead or harass/cc enemy ranged/healers. Ideally you want only physical ranged and melee on ice duty while rest tries to stop enemy from hitting said ice, only time you want to hit ice as a caster is if its small one and you are alone in there other vise just focus players instead.

Exactly and if you take a look at frontlines on our datacenter, its almost impossible to archieve that. Most people are not even capable of reading the chat.
